Background: Joe Bonamassa's vintage 1959 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty is a prized gem in his renowned collection. This illustrious guitar, known for its elegant ebony
finish, is thought to have been a custom order due to having two P.A.F. humbucking
pickups (instead of the more common three pickup variety) that deliver a rich, resonant
tone characteristic of the late 50s Les Pauls. Adding to its allure is the Bigsby vibrato
tailpiece and the special Grover Imperial tuners. The combination of these elements
creates an instrument that is not only visually stunning but also remarkably versatile in its
